The Vishnu texts run from the shortest to the longest thing on this site. ॐ जय जगदीश हरे is sung at the close of aarti in most North Indian homes, whatever the occasion. विष्णु सहस्रनाम is at the other end — a thousand names, traditionally read on Ekadashi or Saturday, and a paath people grow into over years rather than learn in an evening.
