Durga Devi — aarti, bhajan, mantra & stotra
The Devi is asked for two different things and the texts divide along that line. The aartis — दुर्गे दुर्घट भारी, जय अंबे गौरी — are what a household sings standing with a diva. The kavach and stotras are longer, older, and read seated: Devi Kavach for protection, Argala and Kilak as the traditional companions to Saptashati paath. If you have come for Navratri, the aartis are what you want.
